I have come to appreciate the warmth and genuine pastoral care you bring to your ministry. There is something reassuring about the way you speak to people—not from a distance, but with the kindness and familiarity of a shepherd who truly wants his people to know that they are seen, heard, and never walking alone.  Your homilies and messages have reached far beyond the boundaries of our diocese, offering encouragement at times when people need it most. You have a wonderful way of making the teachings of our faith feel both timeless and personal, reminding us that our relationship with Christ is not simply something we practice on Sundays, but something that should shape the way we live each day.  For the years you have devoted to shepherding the people of Arlington, and for the countless lives touched by your words, your example, and your approachable spirit, this is a heartfelt Nod to the Collar.

Your story is a gift to so many young men who are listening for God’s call. By sharing not only your vocation, but the journey that led you to the altar, you remind others that a priestly calling can begin quietly, even in childhood, and grow through prayer, courage, and trust. May your openness continue to give young men the courage to ask, “Is God calling me, too?” Your priesthood is already becoming an invitation for others to discover where Christ may be leading them.

College can be a time of uncertainty, distractions, and big questions, yet you’ve created a place where faith feels real, welcoming, and worth pursuing.
