A ‘Nod to you Father for reminding us that sometimes the best place for a priest to meet people is simply wherever they are. Setting up a confessional at a fair may seem like a simple idea, but what a beautiful and powerful witness it is. You stepped out from behind the altar and brought the mercy of Christ right into the middle of everyday life — making the Sacrament of Reconciliation visible, approachable, and available to anyone who might have otherwise never walked through a church door. And perhaps even more importantly, you offered people the invitation to simply “have a conversation with a priest.” That kind of openness can be the first step toward something life-changing. Thank you for being the kind of priest who doesn’t wait for people to find their way to the Church, but goes out to find them. Priests who step beyond the walls of the parish and meet people where they are can leave an impact far greater than they may ever know. What a beautiful reminder that the collar belongs everywhere — especially wherever people need to encounter the compassion, mercy, and love of Christ.
